2007 was a busy year - participation in two group exhibitions, one of drawings at L & S Gallery in Bathurst, and of still life paintings at Charles Hewitt Gallery in Sydney, and as well, my solo show at Bathurst Regional Gallery (see last Newspage). I was also successful in an international photographic competition.

In September and October I spent two months traveling through Spain and Morocco, with brief visits also to Paris and Dubai. A wonderful, profound experience! I saw marvelous art and architecture, ancient ruins, walked over 100 klms of the Camino in Spain, climbed mountains, slept in the Sahara, enjoyed the food, the music and dance, and the local hospitality. Impossible to sum up. A few photos…

International Photo Prize
This photo, which I took in the Barri Gotic area of Barcelona, a beautiful warren of narrow medieval streets, was selected as a prize winning finalist in the Eurostars Hotels Photographic Prize.
